CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION is dedicated to
providing affordable training, academic programs and personal enrichment
at FOUR CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TECH CENTERS AND FIVE ADULT
AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTERS. WE serve adult and secondary
students who are looking for full time or part time programs, online
or flexible class schedules. Students study with highly qualified
teachers and learn while using state of the art equipment. Orange

OUR
CENTERS OF LEARNING "SOMETHING MORE!"
CAREER
& TECHNICAL EDUCATION, administered by Orange
County Public Schools, has been "getting down to business"
for over 70 years. Comprised of accredited technical, post-secondary,
and adult community education centers, CAREER & TECHNICAL
EDUCATION is dedicated to providing individualized attention
and career counseling to help students complete their programs of
study and find employment.
MID
FLORIDA TECH, recognized as one of the most technically
advanced training centers in the State of Florida, offers a wealth
of programs including the Central
Florida Fire Academy. MID FLORIDA TECH has
five centers of excellence: Electronic Technology, Computer Electronics
Technology, Autotronics, Automotive Service Technology, and Heating
Ventilation and Air Conditioning. In partnership with Toyota, Mid
Florida Tech offers the Toyota T-Ten Advanced Service Technology
program that provides technicians for Toyota dealers throughout
Florida. Students at Mid Florida Tech participate
in 46 certificate, Industry Services, adult education and off-campus
apprenticeship programs.
ORLANDO
TECHutilizes
a campus-wide, state-of-the-art delivery system of multimedia resources
to enhance student learning. in partnership with Orlando Regional
Healthcare, ORLANDO TECH is the model site for
the national Allied Healthcare Technology Based Training Program
using both adult and pediatric Human Patient Simulators as key components
for training. Orlando Tech also offers training
in the following career clusters: Arts, Audio-Visual Technology
and Communications, Business Administrative Services, Education
and Training Services, and Health Services specializing in patient
care.
WESTSIDE
TECH, a dynamic and innovative center, offers over
24 full and part-time academic and technical programs, evening classes
and classes at five Adult Community Centers. In addition to offering
a variety of non-traditional programs and services, such as the
off-campus adult handicapped educational program, WESTSIDE
TECH offers training in the following program clusters:
Agricultural and Natural Resources, Business and Administrative
Services, Construction, Health Services, Human Services and Information
Technology Services. Westside Tech serves the west
and northwest portions of Orange and adjacent Lake County.
WINTER
PARK TECH, located in the heart of Winter Park, offers
post secondary occupational training certificate programs and academic
programs. Winter Park Tech emphasizes information
technology training with programs in the following career clusters:
Business Technology, Health sciences, Family & Consumer Sciences
and Industrial Technology. Winter Park Tech also
awards Applied Technology Diplomas (ATDs) for completing Medical
Records Transcription and Medical Coder/Biller programs. Graduates
may articulate to state community colleges earning advanced credits
toward 2-year degrees in Office Systems Technology or Health Information
Services.
